Rodrigo is an Assistant Professor specialized in Biological Control and Invasive Species Ecology. He as a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Florida, a Master's in Entomology from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor's in Agriculture from the Pan-American School of Agriculture in Honduras. His research interest includes biological control of aquatic weeds, and insect pests; as well as the thermal biology of insects and invasive species ecology and management. Rodrigo has co-authored 87 peer-reviewed articles, 38 extension articles, and multiple websites related to invasive species and biological control. He currently leads a multidisciplinary research team addressing the die-back of roseau cane in the Mississippi River Delta.
