Dr. Vinit Sehgal is an Assistant Professor at the School of Plant, Environmental, and Soil Sciences at the Louisiana State University (LSU) AgCenter. His research focuses on studying multiscale soil hydrology and terrestrial water-energy-carbon linkages using remote sensing.

He received a Ph.D. in Water Management and Hydrological Science from Texas A&M University (2023). He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India (2013) and an M.S. in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech (2017).
